In 2016, the government of Amoy announced the "Xiamen City Master Plan (2011-2020),"
emphasizing the construction of high-rise buildings and roads, as well as the enhancement of
greenery and scenic areas, all dedicated to realizing economic prosperity.
However, in 2020, an abrupt halt in construction led to an array of unfinished buildings and
untrimmed plants scattered throughout the city.
As I came back home, the city changed a lot there the trees were surrounded by buildings/rivers
inside the city became unclear, and so on.
Like human activities came to a momentary standstill, and the passage of time slowed. The plants
continued to grow unchanged, embracing society and daily life.
